Promoting the art of piano performance to
further spiritual growth and
enrich quality of life
Piano Performance Certification Examination (PPCE) © is a test of piano mastery from basic to advanced level that gives other professionals an idea of where you are at in your craft. PPCE© was designed by a team of professional piano educators who recognized a need among piano students studying outside a college system to feel motivated to excel and have their performance measured by a universally accepted standard. Piano teachers supported the idea and confirmed that preparation for PPCE© increased students’ motivation and made their piano study more structured and fulfilling.
PPCE© is a 14-level examination program from level 1-A being the lowest and 7-B – the highest. Tests are administered on a semi-annual basis to trace the progress of a student within reasonable time intervals.
To qualify to be admitted to PPCE©, all examinees must be student members of ACPP. If you are not a member yet, please, click the link below to apply for STUDENT MEMBERSHIP.
Each student must submit an application accompanied by his/her piano instructor’s letter confirming his/her level of piano skill. The piano instructor must be a verified member of ACPP in good standing or provide a copy of his/her piano teaching credentials.
